Can you tell me about how much it will cost to get new tires (at least 2, probably all 4) and get some breaks for my car? l have a 1994 Suzuki Sidekick. New engine a few years ago. Also, the check engine light is on and l have no idea why and l have heard it can be a number of things but l do not know how to find out. l have to get my sticker today or tomorrow which will surely be a rejection as it is now but within the month after l need to get this fixed and it would be really helpful to have an idea of what it will cost.

Thanks! :)

Only a shop can tell you how much the check engine light will cost since it has to be diagnosed 1st.

The tires can run anywhere from $75 to $125 each and a brake job can run from $99 to several $100 depending on what all is bad.

If it is a real puzzle, just take it to the dealer and get an estimate. Tell them you're poor. Both Chevy & Suzuki dealers can fix Sidekicks. They're really quick and they know what they're doing. l find the Chevy dealer is usually cheaper.
