Im buying a car that travels at around 35mpg - is that any good or am l going to end up poor?

35 mpg is good in anything l get like 4.5 mpg lol

No, that is very good, & l am guessing it is a 4 cylinder (which needs less fuel, because it is not a V6 or V8.

Do not expect to tow a boat or camper with a 4 cylinder, but if u do not plan on it, u will get by for years in that Suzuki.

l had a little Geo Tracker (4 cylinder) for years, & it was a blast with the top down, & l ran the heck out of it with no major problems, except for a new clutch at one point, & the the engine fell apart later on. :D

Depending on the year of it, ur plates & insurance will cost u more in the long run than the gas.

l am highly doubtful that any Vitara or Grand Vitara gets 35 mpg unless it is coasting down a hill. They are too boxy and not aero enough. A 2005 Grand Vitara V6 with manual trans. was only rated 17 city and 21 hwy for example. A 2004 Vitara with 4-cyl. and manual tran. was rated at 20 city and 24 hwy. So either someone is not telling the truth or they do not know how to figure mpg. Hope this helps!
