l have a grand vitara xl-7 with the sister engine 2.8 l. It calls for 5w-30 spec. AP l service rating SL or SM. l like the Valvoline or Pennzoil synthetic blends. If you watch for sales you can get for $1.99 or maybe $2.49 a quart. Good value.
