The instructions say that to do so, some hub is to be set at the centre of the front wheels which l cound not spot. Does anyone know how can it be done? (1993 Suzuki vitara manual transmission)
It has the separate 4wd gear.

l am not familiar with this vehicle, but many 4x4s, you have to lock the front hubs. There should be a ''knob'' in the center of the front tires that has to be turned to ''lock''.

If it is not there, then you have the 2 wheel drive version.

Vitara is have no locking hubs. You should be able to just drop the shifter into 4x4 (4hi or 4low) and be done. If that fails then you have need of a shop.
