I've been told 235/65/16,225/60/16 and a few other sizes. Which one is right?

the 16 is the diameter of ur wheel in inches. The 60 is the profile (amount of tire between wheel & the outside of tire) in millimeters. For every inch in diamter u go up, u want ur profile to go down about 12.7mm. You wo not be able to get it perfect but try to get it close. If not, ur speedometer will be off.

The 235 is the width of ur tire in millimeters. Try to keep it the same. l do not know what ur car can handle so do not go crazy on wide tires.

If u get tires with a different width or diameter, u will need to wheels, as well.

l would not get any of those tires u mentioned.

Well, like poster 1 said, u want to get the best tire for ur current rims then its going to be the stock size of 235/60/16, though it would not hurt to go with 225/60/16. l definitely would not go with the 65 profile, would rather go 235/55/16. Increasing the profile will lead to more flex in the tire & worse handling. Since u r getting new tires u may want to consider upgrading to new wheels too, but l would not go higher then 18 inch rims for ur vehicle because u want to keep the profile no lower then 45. You can try tirerack.com or simply go to ur local tire/wheel dealer for a great deal & lots of options.
