No there are different however do not be surprise ''if'' many of the parts, specially in the engine are the same brand and model.

Actually, the North American-market Suzuki Swift and Geo Metro remained mechanical siblings, even after both models recieved a redesign for the 1995 model year. They are they same car.

Yes. Suzuki and Chevy cooperatively opened a plant in Canada in the '80s that both cars are built at (and also Pontiac Firefly l think). The cars share many of the same parts although there are minor aestetic differences. Also, the Suzuki got an engine upgrade to a 1.3L 4cyl in '95 (mk 4 model) while on the Geo it was only available as an option to the standard 1.0L 3cyl in later years.

Yes, they are identical cars. Both are made by Suzuki in Japan. The main difference is that the Metro was offered with a 3 cylinder engine and optional 4 cylinder whereas the Swift only came with a 4 cylinder.
