l bought one yesterday. l like it but the problem is that it came wirh a metal bull bar which l am getting removed on Saturday. They are not illegal to have on your vehicle but they are illegal to manufacture and supply. But the reason l want it off is that it can cause some serious damage to others if l ever crashed.

The thing is though.. ti looks really good on the car. So would getting a plastic one be ok in terms of the safety of others? Will a plastic one also still increase my insurance premiums?

im no expert , but getting hit with a bull at 50 mph will do you a lot of damage even if it is made of plastic . Good one for getting rid of the metal one. Safety over vogue .

l would never take it off. For me they are extra protection in the event of an accident. l have seen the protection that they give at an accident scene!

A bull-bar gives your vehicle no added protection whatsoever in a crash, as it is only held onto the car with a couple of bolts in the front crossmember. In fact if you have a frontal impact, it will just be something more to replace. Plus they're usually mounted at kiddy-head height, so you're right to replace it with a soft plastic one.

a plastic one is good but they still take out modified dogs lol

Keep the steel !! If only the shrub huggers would remember that the road is for vehicles and the pedestrians belong on the footpath !

It will not increase your insurance premium, and a plastic bull bar would be perfect
