do you mean 49cc??? a cbt (compulsory bike test) but l would think twice about it if thats how you think you spell scooter you may be a danger to other road users.

Motorized scooters have become popular, particularly among youth who do not yet have a driver’s license, as a mode of transportation. Effective August 1, 2005 a law took effect allowing youth ages 12 & over to operate motorized foot scooters on roadways & trails in Minnesota. Prior to August 1, 2005 motorized foot scooters were regulated by Eagan City Ordinance 8.07 which prohibited there use on public streets & trails. The new Minnesota law (Minnesota State Statue 169.225) only applies to motorized foot scooters. Under the new law “motorized foot scooters” r vehicles that:

* have handlebars
* can be either stood on or sat on by the operator (saddle optional)
* powered by an electric motor or internal combustion engine that is capable of powering the device with or without human propulsion
* have either (1) wheels no more than 10 inches in diameter, or (2) an engine that is capable of a maximum speed of not more than 15 miles per hour on a flat surface.
